Doris Dean Hale, 82, homemaker, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 24, 2016.

Doris was born March 9, 1934 to parents Marvin and Inez Sims. In 1954, Doris married Jerry Hale, and they lived in Sherman the remainder of their lives. Doris and Jerry were devoted members of Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman and treasured that relationship. Doris was a devoted daughter and assisted in eldercare for mother Inez Sims in her later years. Doris was also a devoted and generous Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was a generous and vibrant woman who loved life and cared deeply about family and friends. We mourn her passing but celebrate her life.

Doris is survived by husband of 62 years Jerry Hale, twin sister Dorothy Shaw of Sherman, brother Glenn Sims of Whitesboro, and numerous relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, Oct. 26, in Friendship Cemetery with Pastor Chris Moses officiating.
