She came to Dallas in 1922 with her parents and two sisters. She was a North Dallas High School Alumni. Janette married Henry Hill and they were blessed with one daughter, Sharon Lee.
She was an active longtime member of First Baptist Church of Dallas and of the Caregivers Sunday School Class. She later became a member of Highland Baptist Church. She was a member of Metropolitan Chapter of the American Business Women from 1972, serving a president for three separate terms. She was also a member of the Lakewood Book Review after she retired in 1985. She enjoyed traveling and seeing new places and went to all the states except Oregon and Washington. She was always ready to play a game, her favorites were mah Jongg, bridge, and rummy kube. She had many friends and a large family of cousins whom she cherished. She was devoted to and very proud of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two sisters, Ernestine and Sammie. Janette will be greatly missed by her beloved daughter Sharon Friedensohn, one granddaughter Janie(Craig) Lane; three great-granddaughters, Jenny (Eric) Shapp, Michelle (Jerry) Thompson, and Madison Lane; one great-grandson Davin Lane; two great great grandsons Kody and Kaden Shapp; niece Patricia (Bob) Goerz of Tucson, AZ.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October, 27,2016 at 12:30PM at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park, with burial at Fountain Garden, Restland Memorial Park.
