Virgie E. Foe, 94, of Enton, formerly a longtime resident of Aubrey and Crossroads, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at Denton Communinity Hospital. She as born March 1, 1906, in Aubrey, Texas, to J.H. and Maude (Elmore) Martin. She was married to R.L. (Red) Fore on Oct. 6, 1928, in Aubrey. He died in 1986.
She attended public schools and what is now the University of North Texas. Mrs. Fore was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and was the pianist for the church for 76 years. She retired from sales and had also been a school teacher in public schools.
Service will be at 2 P.M Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Kay, Rev. Ed Blythe and Rev. David Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight, Monday, May 8, for visitation. Pallbearers will be: C.D. McCabe, Weldon Lucas, Robert Fowler, Ed Anthony, Noel Bowman and Lou Kraft.
Mrs. Fore is survived by one daughter, Peggy Bruce of Denton; and four grandchildren, Eca Fore of Mansfield, Rhonda Fore of Dallas, Kelli Bruce of Nashville, Tenn., and Shelli Bruce of Denton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Gene Fore, who died in 1978.
