Lawrence Frederick Howard, 79, of Millers, MD, passed peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2016 at his residence. Born on March 4, 1937, he was the son of the late Lawrence Edgar and Margaret Elizabeth Howard. He was the husband of Dolly Hughes Howard, his wife of 44 years. He worked as an electrician for many years. He was a member of Black Rock Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed fishing, camping and listening to bluegrass music. Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Joan Mason, Linda Boit and husband B.A., Elizabeth Kemp and husband Edward; step-children Bernie Harman and companion Debbie Frank, and Bruce Harman and wife Diane; siblings Janet Bond, Julia Engle and Margaret Miller. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Patsy Welk, George and Marion Howard. The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester MD on Monday, October 24, from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 25, at 11am officiated by Rev. Brandon Grady. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg, MD.
