Ellen L. Robbins, 84, of rural Montpelier, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital.

She was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Matthews to Glen Dale and Flo Sutton Kilgore. She married Milton Robbins Aug. 3, 1949, in Grant County; he preceded her in death Dec. 18, 2005.

Ellen retired from Heritage Pointe in Warren in 2008 working as a food service server. She enjoyed bird watching, reading, listening to the radio, babysitting the grandchildren and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Robbins of Montpelier and Linda (Denny) Borror of Bluffton; one son, Jim Robbins of Montpelier; a sister, Jeanie King of Matthews; a brother, Jack Kilgore of Northwood, Ohio; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Brinson and Glenna Miller.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite children’s charity.

There will be a private family service held at a later date. Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel were entrusted with arrangements.
