Vivian Woodside, age 96, of Brookfield, died Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

A funeral service will be Friday, October 28, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor Ted Stockwell officiating. Burial will be in Purdin Cemetery in Purdin. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials to Bear Branch United Methodist Church may be left at or mailed to Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.

Vivian Ilene, daughter of Wayne and Effie (Dickinson) Britton, was born November 25, 1919, in Sullivan County. On February 14, 1937, she married Norman Earl Woodside who preceded her in death on December 3, 1993.

Vivian retired after 18 years from Stanbury Uniform in Brookfield. She spent her later years as a homemaker and caregiver to many that she loved. Vivian always enjoyed gardening and loved Life Care Center activities and music.

Vivian was a member of the Bear Branch United Methodist Church near Purdin. She was also a member of the Stitch and Chatter Club and the Stanbury Coffee Club for many years.

Survivors include her five children, Richard Woodside and wife, Pat of Clinton, Carol Stroud and husband, Paul of Marceline, Linda King and John Morris of Brookfield, Norma Phillips and husband, Bryan of Brookfield, and Ricky Woodside and wife, Tiffany of Gravois Mills; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip Britton and wife, Beverly of the State of Texas and Elmo Britton and wife, Georgianna of Purdin; one sister, Jessie Frazier and husband, Lonnie of Kansas City; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Her parents; two brothers, Donald Britton and Nelson Britton and wife, Marjorie; three nephews, Dana Britton, Clinton Britton, and Terry Dean Britton; and one niece, Mary Beth Britton also preceded her in death.
