Dorothy (Dottie), age 90, passed away on June 12, 2016. She was born December 8, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to Ola and A.G. Floyd.
She is survived by her three sons, Bob Simon and wife Beth of Mandeville, LA, Terry Simon and wife Vicki of Greensboro, NC, and Steve Simon and wife Karen of Coppell, TX. She loved the time she spent with her eight grandchildren: Kate, Emily, Michael, Jennifer, Alison, Amanda, Stephanie, and Blake and five great grandchildren: Hallie, Annabelle, Caroline, Eva, and Margot.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Annie Jo Floyd, Alma Floyd, Chris Hudgins, Joyce Short, Margaret Buchanan and her brothers Bill Floyd and Edwin Schrimpf.
Dorothy was a member of Northway Christian Church, Dallas and the fraternal order of the Sons of Hermann, Dallas.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 2pm, with services at 3pm at the Abbey Chapel, Restland Funeral Home, Dallas.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
