LEBANON -- Graveside rites for Harold Morris Allen 77, were at 11 a.m. today at Lebanon Cemetery with Lyndol Adams officiating.

Allen died May 3, 1998, at his home after a sudden illness. He was born Aug. 21, 1920, at Topeka, Kan., to Dan and Maude Foster Allen.

Reared in Horton, Kan., he served in the Navy and Coast Guard and worked for Sherwood Construction Co. 30 years, living in numerous places. He and Yuma Acox were married July 12, 1967, at Gainesville, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Roger and David, Horton; a daughter, Sharon Holtby, Rushville, Mo.; two stepsons, Billy Harmon, Lebanon, and Michael Harmon, Springdale, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Keller, Ardmore; a brother, Jimmy, Horton; sister, June Bivens, Robinson, Kan.; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services were directed by Watts Funeral Home in Madill.

His biological father was Vernon Guy Butner. Papa took the last name of his step father William Daniel Allen.
