OBITUARY :
KAELYN G. ASHWAY, 20, of 11761 North Landis Avenue, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Hershey Medical Center, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born April 5, 1996 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of Vernon L. and Stacey L. (Dennis) Ashway of Waynesboro.
Kaelyn was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 2014 where she was a member of the Varsity Softball Team.
She was currently employed as a server at Texas Roadhouse, Hagerstown, MD.
Kaelyn enjoyed playing softball for Maryland Heartbreakers Gold Team and loved spending time with her pets. Kaelyn was an organ donor and was able to give the gift of life to several others through her donation.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by sister, Taryn L. Ashway of Waynesboro; paternal grandparents, Vernon L. Ashway, Sr. and Vonnie L. Ashway of Waynesboro; maternal grandmother, Norma Lee Dennis of Mount Airy, MD; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, David E. Dennis.
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro with Dr. Robert Zimmerman and Pastor Drahus Oslik officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening, in the funeral home.
