Eric Michael Rhodes, 23 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away suddenly on October 21, 2016, at home in Seymour, Indiana
He was born March 20, 1993, in Seymour, Indiana to his parents, Michael and Michelle (Mitchell) Rhodes, who survive.
Eric was a 2011 graduate of Seymour High School and a graduate of IUPUC. He played football while attending Seymour High. He formerly worked at the JC Groub Warehouse and was currently working at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center and an avid fisherman who loved spending time with his family.
Besides his parents, Eric is survived by two brothers: Eian and Eli Rhodes; two sisters: Aspen and Willow Rhodes; maternal grandparents: Kevin (Johnnie) Shelton & Edward Mitchell, Sr.; paternal grandparents: Tim (Cindy) Rhodes, Sr. and Marjorie Campbell; a great-grandmother, Elaine Shelton, and aunts and uncles: Edward (Buffie) Mitchell III, Shavonne (Mike) Moyer, Brandon Robinson, Michael Robinson, Elaina (Deji) Adeniyi, Valerie Shelton, Tim (Rebekah) Rhodes, Jr., Natalie Herron, and Erin Mankiller.
Eric was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Dean Shelton, great-grandmother, Stella Mae Rhodes, grandparents: Arnold Campbell and Edward and Vera Mitchell; and an aunt, Majorie Ann Rhodes.
Funeral service will be at Voss Chapel on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 10:30 am with Rev. Tom Judd officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm and Thursday after 9:30am until time of service.
Memorial checks may be written to the family for funeral expenses.
