Frank A. Windham, Jr., age 72, of Baird, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at his ranch in southern Callahan County. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in the First Baptist Church of Baird with Pastor Jimmy Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Tecumseh Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parker Funeral Home of Baird. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday evening, October 24, 2016 at the funeral home.

Frank, Jr. was born in Baird on September 7, 1944, to Frank Anson Windham and Inez Ferguson Windham. He attended Baird schools, graduating in 1963. A life-long resident of Callahan County, Frank, Jr. was a 4th generation rancher and cattleman as his great-grandfather had settled in Callahan County in 1875. A member of the Texas Southwest Cattle Raisers Association and the Texas Farm Bureau, he also was an Honorary Director of the First Bank Texas, formerly the First National Bank of Baird. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Baird. He and Debby Kersey married September 2, 1981 in Baird.

Frank, Jr. was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a champion domino player. He loved his dogs, especially his beloved "Snoot". A friend to many, he was known for his honesty, his loyalty, and his quick, sharp wit. Frank, Jr. was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was adored by his family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Debby, of Baird; 1 son, Matthew Shane Windham and his wife, Celeste, of New Braunfels, TX; 2 daughters, Lori Robinson of Buffalo, Gap, TX, and Whitney Windham of Baird; his grandchildren, Wyatt Windham, Jewel Franke, Cassidy McLaughlin, Kelby Robinson, and Paige Robinson; numerous cousins, including Paula Windham, who was his "chosen" sister, Virginia Windham, Tally Windham, Bailey Windham, and John Windham; and his long-time friend and devoted employee, Camilo Castillo.

The family suggests in lieu of memorials to one of the following: American Diabetes Association , P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312; Tecumseh Cemetery Association, c/o Patty Ellis, 15795 CR 206, Clyde, TX 795210; or an animal rescue organization of your choice.
