Paul R. Ray, 80, of Derry, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, in the Excela Westmoreland Hospital. He was born May 12, 1936, in Bradenville, a son of the late Paul V. and Jennie Bush Ray.

Paul retired from Derry Westinghouse and spent a lot of his time working with his hands doing woodworking or automotive work. He enjoyed singing, hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy J. Hoyle Ray; his son, Kevin P. Ray (Joseph), of Chicago, Ill.; his two daughters, Vicki Ray, of Greensburg, and Sue Zimmerman (Eric), of Derry; a brother, J. Wayne Ray (Bonnie), of Derry; two grandchildren, Breona Reynolds and Krista Zimmerman; two great-grandsons, Avi and Monte Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Third Ave., Derry, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jonathan Fehl officiating. Interment will follow in the Coles Cemetery.
