Following is the death notice for Mina Shanks from the Kansas City Times, KC, Missouri 14 April 1969, p. 36: SHANKS--MRS. MINA, of 505 W. 39th street, passed away April 12th 1969. Graveside service Oak Hill cemetery, Maryville, Mo. 1 p.m. Monday. In state at the Muehlebach chapel after 2 p.m. Sunday.
On February 18, 2017 I was informed by a Find a Grave volunteer photographer who knows the Oak Hill
Cemetery well that there is a grave marker for Lawrence Harvey Shanks but there is no marker for Mina Adle Shanks or any indication in the cemetery records that she is buried there. There is room in the plot of Lawrence for one other person. For the time being, based on the Kansas City Times death notice cited above, it seems safe to assume that the remains of Mina Adle Shanks lie next to her husband and that, as new documents are found, this may be proven by the records.
