Already when he married Gustaf´s parents and four of his six siblings had emigrated to Stockholm, Saskatchewan, Canada. They went to Trondheim in Norway and on the 8th of August 1907 they left by a ship called Salmo, owned by the Dominion Line. They arrived at Quebec City, Canada on the 24th of August 1907.
