NORTH SEBAGO--Percy L. Bachelder,82, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness.


He was born at Sebago, April 18, 1891, son of Mark and Rosie Shaw Bachelder, and attended Sebago schools. During his earlier years, he worked as a guide on Sebago Lake, also served as a road commissioner for several years. He also had worked as a school bus driver.


Mr. Bachelder was an Army veteran of World War I and a member and past commander of William Goodwin Post, American Legion. He was a former member of Maple Grove Grange at Convene.


He leaves his wife, the former Irma Dearborn; a sister, Mrs. Edna Harmon of Portland; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the North Sebago Methodist Church with interment in Lakeside Cemetery.
