Lisa Anne Haney McLaughlin, age 55, passed away peacefully at home on October 19, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, and YaYa.
Lisa was born in Newport News, Virginia, on January 7, 1961 to Jaqueline King Haney and the late John Lebo Haney.
She graduated from Warwick High School in Newport News in 1979.
Lisa had been employed by the Newport News Shipyard for the past 32 years.
She enjoyed her extended work family.
Lisa cherished time with her family and friends. She was a loving "YaYa" and spent most of her time with her grandchildren and the children of the family. Lisa's smile and laughter has touched so many people. She will be missed by all!
Lisa is survived by her husband of 35 years, Kevin; son, Brian and his wife Leala; daughter, Erin; grandchildren Emma, Eliza, and Truitt; mother, Jackie Haney; sisters Brenda Stedman and Debra Howell; brother, Mike Haney.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Lisa's life will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park.
Arrangements are in the care of Peninsula Funeral Home.
