Arva Mary Atwood Abegglen returned home to her heavenly father on October 18th, 2016 surrounded by family and her sweetheart of sixty nine years.
She was born in Vernal Utah to Curtis and Leona Atwood on October 27th, 1930. At 4 years old her father passed away and Leona re-married Arch McConkie who raised Arva as his own.
She later married Clark Boy Abegglen of Vernal Utah on June 7th, 1947 in Myton Utah.
Mom loved many things in her life but her family came first and foremost.
She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many leadership positions over many years.
She is survived by her husband Clark of Vernal and Children Susan (Richard) Workman of Salt Lake City Utah, Vicki (Cregg) Oaks of Heber City Utah, Jet (Sandra) Abegglen of Roosevelt Utah, Rhea (Monte) Whitt of Roosevelt Utah and Reed (Darlene) Abegglen of Whiterocks Utah and many grandkids, greatgrandkids and two great great grandkids.
She will be dearly missed by all friends and family who had the blessings of knowing her.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Rockpoint LDS Chapel (2575 North 1500 West).
A viewing will be held from 11:00-12:45 P.M. at the church.
Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the ashley Valley Funeral Home.
