Edith was born February 26, 1903 in Blair, Nebraska to Neum and Blanche D. (Peck) Warrick. She was the oldest of 15 children.
She was always interested in education and attended Cotner College in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a graduate of San Diego State College and taught in Blair and in the San Diego area. She spent most of her adult life in the San Diego area.
She married Loftin George Stewart, also of Blair on June 30, 1930 in Medford, Oregon. He was a career Navy man and his family accompanied him whenever possible. He preceded her in death September 23, 1986.
Graveside services for Edith Blanche Stewart, 89 who died July 30, 1992 in Houston, Texas were held Tuesday, August 4 at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego, California with Rev. Charles F. Hoffman officiating.
She is survived by her only daughter, Sandra Biles of Houston, Texas and grandchildren, Lisa Peters, Kendra Peters, Erica Peters and Arnold Stewart Peters, all of Texas. She is also survived by sisters, Gayle Browder of San Diego and Margaret Bisbee and Beulah Messer, both of Blair and brothers, Carol Warrick of Hoisington, Kansas and Willard Warrick, Mace Warrick, Abe Warrick and Harland Warrick, all of Blair.
