The Forbes family stayed in Accomack County, VA until Oct 1701 when they moved to present day Camden County, NC. Where the family is given 532 acres of headright land.
Information on Elizabeth is very limited.
Family charts show Elizabeth married twice. The first marriage was to John Cannon, the second to John Relfe. (Some feel his father was Thomas Relfe.)
In 1716 John Relfe was granted 1654 acres in present day Camden County. Note, the land-grant papers do not survive and it was not registered in the patent books.
A 15 April 1718 land record shows John Relfe and his wife Elizabeth selling 300 acres on the NW side of the Pasquotank to Jno. Mackaniel.
Another record on 17 Jan 1725 shows John & Elizabeth Relfe sold 300 acres to Francis Martin.
After 1725 no records have been found for either John or Elizabeth. Did she die in childbirth or did she and John leave the area?
The death date of 1727 is not based on any fact.
