He was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Peoria, a son of Franz Eduard Wilhelm and Sada Ruth (Crecelius) Roloff. He married Margie E. Simmons May 17, 1946, in Peoria. Surviving are one son, Roger R. Roloff of New Paltz, NY; one daughter, Lynn C. Fearneyhough of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Juli L. Mortz and John R. Mortz; 3 step grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie J. Putney of Peoria.
Roloff was sales manager of Bartlow Brothers in Rushville from 1952 to 1973 and owner of Schuy-Ville Theatre in Rushville from 1974 to 1984. He was also a pianist and composer of songs from 1946 to 1999. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4 in Rushville and the American Federation of Musicians Local #330 in Macomb.
