Jonathan C. Howard, 54, of Ridgely, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his residence.

He was a retired accountant and was a Sergeant with the United States Air Force serving his country for 8 years.

Services and burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his three sisters, Grace Blankenship of Dyersburg, Robin Smith of Ridgely and Cynthia Gilreath of Pine Knot, KY; two brothers, Douglas Howard of Trinity, TX and Michael Anderson of Dalton, GA; eight nieces, Tina Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC, Julie Howard of Trinity, TX, Christina Duncan of Ridgely, Brandy Duncan of Hornbeak, Jennifer Turner of Dyersburg, Tammy McAdoo of Somerset, KY, Lori Forrest of Tiptonville and Angelia Smith of Ridgely; three nephews, Jay Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC, Doug Howard, Jr. of Richardson, TX and Karry Howard of Spring, TX; and seventeen great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Fostina King Howard; a brother, Ronnie Anderson; and a niece, Ronda Anderson.
