ELDON --- Mrs. Gertie Dickens, died Nov. 5 at Good Samaritan Home n Ottumwa.
She was born Aug. 8, 1895, in Venango, Neb., to Fern and Ella Watkins Hopkins. She lived in Eldon since 1936 and was a member o Friends Church, Royal Neighbors and American Legion Auxiliary.
On Sept. 24, 1917, she married William Dickens who died in 1974.
Survivors: daughters Mrs. Ruby Nichols of Eldon and Mrs. Pearl McCaw of Chillicothe, Ill; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters Mrs. Alma Bussell of Imperial, Neb., and Mrs. Vera Duffy of Denver, Colo.; and a brother Russell Hopkins of Longmont, Colo.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Campbell Funeral Home., the Rev. Earl Menning officiating.
Burial: Eldon Cemetery.
