Sgt. Curtis L. Norris of Dansville, Michigan was a 1997 Dansville High School graduate who was the third generation of his family to enlist in the military. He joined the Army to travel and see what the world had to offer. Curt enjoyed taking private time to think while shooting baskets in the backyard. He shared many things with his father, two of those being his temperament and his love for flying, for which Curt bought his father a glider ride on their last visit to Hawaii. In his spare time he could usually be found in the gym "pumping iron", he was a die-hard fan of the "Maize and Blue" and not the biggest fan of shopping with his wife, but loved to take her out to the movies. Curt would always look forward to helping his big brother hunt as he enjoyed the outdoors and any athletic activities. He did show his softer side quite often as he played Barbies with his daughter, who could light up his eyes ever since the day she was born. For all who knew and loved him, Curt will always be remembered for the infectious smile that would light up a room. He left behind his wife, Rose Norris and a daughter, Kira Norris. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Alice Norris. He was 28.
