Jerry Wayne Rhea, age 71, resident of Moscow, departed this life Thursday evening, October 20, 2016 at the Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Rhea will be conducted at 11 A.M. Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Moscow with Bro. David Parlow, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. A visitation for Mr. Rhea will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Rhea was born September 9, 1945 in Marshall County, Mississippi. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System. He served as an Alderman for the City of Moscow and was a painter throughout his life. He was also employed at Wonderhouse in Collierville for 22 years and at Troxel Manufacturing in Moscow before retiring for health reasons. Mr. Rhea was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed vacationing and special times with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. “Buck” Rhea and Lillie Allen Rhea and his sister, Betty Rhea.
