Laura June Skeeters, 86, of Springfield passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2016 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village surrounded by her family.
Laura was born on April 20, 1930 in Springfield, the daughter of Arthur A. and Gladys Ring Kelley. She married Charles "Charlie" Skeeters in June 1951; he preceded her in death on September 18, 2015.
Laura was a homemaker and a member of Elm Street Christian Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Donna Marie Skeeters and Susan Woodward-Skeeters; three sisters, Lillian Vancil, Myrtle Burt and Mickey Hogan; and one brother, Charles Kelley.
She is survived by two children, Vicki Jo and Richard ; two brothers, Barney and Jim two sisters, Ruth Ann and Glenda, nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
