JIMMY DON HOPKINS, age 76, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Monday, October 17, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hopkins was born in Winchester, Tenn., to the late Carl Hopkins and Mary Womack Hopkins on June 5, 1940. Mr. Hopkins was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Tullahoma. He was employed for many years as a truck driver using the CB handle "TN Hop". He was last employed by Marine Master in Tullahoma. He was also employed by TVA during the 1970's to clear property when the Tim's Ford Dam was being constructed. Mr. Hopkins was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved to camp and prided himself on his ability to build campfires. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and provider.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his aunt and uncle that raised him from the young age of four, Lorene and Walter Gang, brothers; Edward and Junior Hopkins. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Lois Stewart Hopkins of Estill Springs, Tenn., Son, Jim Alan of Winchester, Tenn., Grandchildren; Coby Hopkins and wife, Val of El Paso, Texas and Shana Pardo and husband, Josh of Mt. Pleasant, Tenn.

Visitation for Mr. Hopkins is scheduled for 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening, Oct. 19, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Pastor Elbert Smith, officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with Military honors bestowed.
