October 20--Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home announces the death of Rev. Willie Charles Haynes, Sr. age 57 of Vidalia, GA whose death occurred on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA.
Pastor Willie Charles Haynes, Sr. was born on July 19, 1959. He was the son of Mr. Willie James Haynes and Mrs. Jessie Mae Haynes.
Pastor Haynes was a member of First African Baptist Church in Lyons, Ga, where Rev. Clint McLeod is the Pastor. Pastor Haynes was the Pastor of New Vision Baptist Church in Vidalia, GA. He served Faithful as the Pastor for 10 years. He was also serving as the Vice-Moderator of the 12th District.
Pastor Haynes was the Chief Tax Appraiser of Toombs County. He worked at Oxford prior to working in the Tax office.
Pastor Willie C. Haynes, Sr. was a graduate of Lyons Senior High School class of 1977. In 1986, Pastor Haynes graduated from Swainsboro Area Vocational Technical School with a degree in Industrial Electricity. He continued his education and received a degree from Swainsboro Technical Institute in 1988 in Digital Electronics. In 2004, Pastor Haynes received an Occupational Leadership Award from Southeastern Technical College in the field of Marketing Management.
The Public Viewing will be at New Vision Baptist Church on 301 Smith Street in Vidalia, GA on Saturday October 29, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the wake from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Homegoing Celebration will be held on Sunday October 30, 2016 at 3:00 PM at from the Sanctuary of New Vision Baptist Church in Vidalia, GA. Rev. Joe Frank Moore will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Eternal Glory Gardens in Vidalia, GA.
