Born in Provo, Utah to LaVon K. and LaVon W. Harward, Jeffrey Dale Harward completed his earthly life in San Diego, California.
He married Dawn Nielsen September 20, 1980 in Tucson, Arizona.
A software developer for Microsoft and Sony Corporation, he loved the outdoors and growing tropical plants and gardens.
Survived by his wife, son Jason and daughter Lindsey, and Auriel (Devin) Tew; his parents, three brothers, Kay, Stephen (Jane), Dennis (Diana), Jason (Barbara), and one sister, JoEllen (Jim) Martin.

Jeff was cremated at his request and his remains are in the possession of his children, although some of his ashes have been left in his favorite places, including Arches National Park and Windy Point on Mt. Lemmon. Eventually some of his ashes will go to Disneyland, his favorite place of all, and Seven Falls, near Tucson. We also plan to take some of his ashes to select places in Mexico.

There is a headstone in the American Fork Coty Cemetery installed by his parents in his honor, but he is not actually buried there.
