Judie worked at Fisher's Department Store and later at Union Bank and Trust Company. She was a past member of the Saint Vincent Auxiliary and enjoyed working in the Hospitality Shop there. She loved playing cards and Scrabble and always enjoyed a good hand of poker.
Judie wasn't afraid to speak her mind and was fiercely loyal to those she loved. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be missed more than words can say. She was also very proud of her Polish heritage.
Judie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Thomas James Kopec. Judie is survived by her husband, John R. Barnett, with whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last October; her son, Matthew Barnett (Dinah), of Peoria, Arizona; her daughter, Martha Stanek (John), of Erie; her granddaughter, Victoria Barnett of Peoria, Arizona; her sister, Kathleen Banko (Art), of Erie; her sister-in-law, Kay Worthy (Rex), of Manchester, New Jersey; and her brother, George Kopec (Judy), of Erie.
