Reed T Marr was born April 31, 1864 at Tamaqua, PA to Dr William Marr and Annie Latimore. His wife was Miss Louise Egel.

The Renovo Record, Fri., Aug. 25, 1893.
Reed T. Marr.
The death of Reed T. Marr, which occurred at the home of his mother, on Huron avenue on Friday night last, was a source of deep regret to his many friends in this place, where he has resided for the past five years.
The cause of his death was Bright’s disease of the kidneys, superinduced by a severe cold contracted while attending the inaugural ceremonies of President Cleveland at Washington, in March last.
The deceased was the second son of Mrs. Annie Marr and the late Dr. Marr. He was born at Tamaqua, Schuylkill Co., Pa., and was aged 29 years, 3 months and 18 days. He was formerly employed for several years in the machine shops of Foust & Elliott, at Lock Haven, where he resided for 20 years previous to coming to this place, and also as brakeman on the local freight train of the eastern division of the P. & E. railroad for three years, after which he entered the Renovo machine shops, and completed his trade two years ago.
Mr. Marr had been receiving medical attention ever since his return from Washington, but being of an energetic and industrious temperament he attempted to resume his occupation on several occasions, but was forced to put aside all thought of activity.
On the 18th day of July 1893, he was united in marriage to Miss Louise Egel of this place, and on the same day, accompanied by his wife, he went to Elmira, N.Y. and entered a hospital where he remained for 17 days, without being benefited. He then returned to his home, where he received every care that medical skill and loving hands could bestow, but to no avail. He declined rapidly until death summoned him from earth.
He leaves besides his bride, a loving mother, three sisters and one brother to mourn his early death.
The funeral took place Monday afternoon from his late residence. Services were conducted by Rev. J. D. Cook of the Presbyterian church, and were largely attended. Camp No. 88, P. O. S. of A., of which he was a prominent member, had charge of the remains. Interment was made in Fairview cemetery. The floral offerings were: Gates Ajar, made of beautiful roses, from employes of the machine shop, with words, “Our Shop Mate,” woven in with immortelles; a hand pillow with the words, “Reed at Rest,” from his mother, brother and sisters. Other tributes were from Mrs. Phoebe Hitchcock, of Lock Haven; Mrs. M. Hartman, Mrs. Jacob Bowman, and Misses Maggie Baird, Lulu Heitzman, Lille Frable, Florence McDonald, Josie Unkle, Fannie & Louise Altvater.
Among those from a distance who attened the funeral were, Mrs. S. M. Buck and son of Bellefonte; Mrs. Wm. Burrows and wife, Mrs. John Hamilton, Miss Lizzie Allen and Samuel Allen of Lock Haven; Miss Kate Ryan of Kane, Pa.; and Miss Smeltzer of Elmira, N.Y.
