J. Phillip Boerstler Dies

J. Phillip Boerstler died today at his home in Tulsa. He was 61 years of age. Born April 9th, 1917, in Henryetta.

He was a retired wholesale grocer, and was active on the Board of Directors of the American Exchange Bank in Henryetta. He was also a member of the Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Tulsa. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a former member of the Henryetta Rotary Club.

He moved to Tulsa from Henryetta in 1969.

He married Mary Louise McBrayer, June 30, 1940, in Okmulgee.

Private family burial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Okmulgee cemetery.

Memorial services, in his honor, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday for the public at the First Presbyterian Church in Henryetta.

Rev. Earl Peters will officiate. Services are under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.

He is survived by: his wife, Mary Louise Boerstler, of the home; 2 daughters, Sharon Gibson of Sapulpa, Peggy Boerstler of Tulsa; one son, Phillip Boerstler of Norman; 3 sisters, Carolyn Purvine of Tulsa, Katherine Boerstler of Henryetta, Joyce Bridges of Okmulgee; one brother, Bob Boerstler of Bartlesville; and 2 grand- children.
