RITES FOR JOHN COLLINS ARE WEDNESDAY IN DES MOINES
John H. Collins, Chariton native, died at his home in Des Moines Sunday morning after an illness of several months. Funeral services are Wednesday from the Highland Park Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Chariton cemetery.
Mr. Collins had been a resident of Des Moines for 40 years. For the past 23 years he had been employed by the state as an examiner. He was a member of the Highland Park United Presbyterian church, the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Des Moines Consistery and the Za-Ga-Zig Temple.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel, a nephew, Palmer C. Lucas, and an aunt, Mrs. Lee Graham.
