Franklin - Omah Anna McConnell, 90, of Corvette Drive, Franklin, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at her residence.

She was a native of Macon County and a daughter of the late George and Cindy Southard Sanders. She was married first to Jud Tallent, who passed away in 1948, and second to Harley McConnell, who passed away in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of Prentiss Church of God.

She is survived by her daughter, Virgie Southard and her husband, Willard, of Franklin; son, Alvin Tallent and his wife, Angel, of Franklin; hree grandchildren, Jeffrey Southard of the home, Adam Tallent of Franklin and Kara Tallent of Lake Helen, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Treven and Kaedyn Tallent; four sisters, Emma Arrant, Allie Phillips, Nannie Sanders and Lucy Stiles; three brothers, Ellis Sanders, Ulyess Sanders and Robert Sanders; three stepdaughters, Dovie McConnell, Betty Sue McConnell and Genelle Fouts, all of Franklin; and stepson, Harley Lee McConnell of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by two stepsons, Wade McConnell and Wayne McConnell.

The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Prentiss Church of God with the Revs. Don Moffitt and Tommy Fouts officiating. Burial will be in Coweeta Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Southard, Adam Tallent, Ricky Bates, Billy Sprinkle and Keith Lewis.
