Russell W. “Knut” Henry, 83, of Topton, formerly of Kempton and Kutztown, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Virginia M. (Zimmerman) Henry, having celebrated their 25 th wedding aniversary in August, 2016. He was born in Kempton, a son of the late Roy C. and Miriam E. (Bond) Henry.

He was a lifelong self employed farmer in Kempton, and also a Cattle Dealer operating throughout the Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey areas. Russell was a member of Jacobs Church, New Tripoli; a former charter member of the Kempton Lions Club and one of the organizers of the Kempton Community Center and a former member of their bowling league. He was also a peacetime veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy. He was an avid collector of milk bottles and various other antiques.

Survivors in addition to his wife includes three step-daughters, Jill H. wife of Bruce Hayden, Mechanicsville, MD, Julia R. wife of Gallo Priori, Emmaus and Jennifer V. wife of Joseph Juntunen, Fleetwood; a step-son, Jesse P.(Karla) Sterner, New London WI; twelve step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Henry, a step-daughter Jane Christman and her husband Carl W. Christman.

His Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Jacobs Church, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa.18066, with calling hours beginning at 9:30 AM. Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate. His Burial will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
