Nellie Fern Bostic Dotson, of Jamboree, KY, born on August 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Rosa Bostic, entered into the sweet peaceful rest of her Lord and Savior on Monday evening, October 17, 2016, at the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Home, in Phelps, KY. Nellie was 88 years old. In addition to her mother; her husband of over 62 years, Troy Dotson; brothers; Rob, Hobert, and John Bostic; sisters; Minnie Rutherford, Rhoda Johnson, and Della Varney also precede her in death.
Those left behind to cherish her memories include her daughters, Sharon Stiltner and her husband Randy of Phelps, KY; Linda Mendoza and her husband Al of Chicago, IL, and Sheri Curry of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Rebecca Hatfield of Chicago, IL, Brandy Smith and her husband Randy of Phelps, KY, and Keith Stiltner of Cave Run, KY; great grandchildren, Reese Curry of Lexington, KY, Randall Troy Smith, and Landon Smith, both of Phelps, KY.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Good Shepherd Community Nursing Home of Phelps, KY and two special nurses, Heidi Gearles and Jamie Hurley.
Services honoring the life of Nellie will be conducted Saturday, October 22, 2016 at The Lord’s House of Phelps, KY at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mitch Bowling officiating.
Burial will follow at the Billy Dotson Cemetery at Phelps, KY
The family will begin receiving friends on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the church beginning at 6:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
