Jerry Tooke passed away on February 7, 2019. A time of fellowship and remembrance is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 76 years at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Lake Ridge Chapel.

Jerry Tooke was born on June 4, 1942, to Eugene and Lorell Hill Tooke in Matador, Texas. Jerry married Robena McCoy Tooke on July 15, 1966, in Flint Avenue Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Robena Tooke; children, De’Lila Holder and husband, Monte; and Twila Lukowiak and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Sydney Brooke Holder, Christian Lukowiak, Nathan Lukowiak; and sister, Jean Beason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lorell Tooke.

Jerry had wonderful careers protecting and helping others. He served in the United States Air Force and spent many years working at Reese Air Force Base and Lubbock Independent School District. He was a loving husband and an incredible father, grandfather, and brother. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

His family would like to thank the UMC Southwest Cancer Treatment Center and the doctors and nurses at University Medical Center for their love and care.
