Memorial services will be at 10 am, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, in First Baptist Church in Dumas with Dan Turner officiating. Additional memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m., at The Continental parlor, 1500 S. Jackson, in Amarillo. Private burial was in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox Ave.
Clara Fae was born Nov. 1, 1916, in McLean, to Carl and Claudie Carpenter. She was the chairperson of the American Cancer Society in Dumas. Clara Fae was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Morris Rogers in 1971.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean Rogers and husband Richard Rawlinson of Portland, Oregon; two sons, Vance Rogers and wife Sarah, of Nacogdoches and Vernon Rogers of Amarillo; a brother, Max Carpenter and wife Patsy, of McKinney; three grandchildren, Brent Rogers, Melissa Rogers and Shannon Staggs Herbers; and 6 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society; or First Baptist Church in Dumas.
