Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Naomi Lewis Bumgarner.
Raised in rural Mason County, Harold is a graduate of Wahama High School and a Veteran of WWII, he served in Eastern Europe during the War. After his term in the Army he attended Huntington East High Trade School where he studied to become an electrician. He worked at his trade at the Foote Mineral Plant through the mid- 1980's.
Harold was a long standing member (1960) of New Haven United Methodist Church where he served in several capacities. Harold was a life long Christian who served God by being a great Father and Christian example. He was a long time trustee of the Union Campground Association. Harold dedicated hundreds of hours to his Church and the and Campground Association using his electrical and sign painting skills.
He loved history, genealogy, carpentry and is a well known amateur/professional artist. His painting expertise was shown in the many paintings he was commissioned to paint of local "home places" and farms. During his early years of retirement he offered Art Classes to children and adults in the surrounding communities.
