Mr. Ronald Ray 'Ronnie' Oliver 64 of Wilkinson, WV was born July 7, 1952 at Logan, WV. He departed this life on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV.
Mr. Oliver was a disabled coal miner, having worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Coal Company and Kara Coal Company. He was a member of the Central United Baptist Church, a 32˚ Scottish Rite Mason, member, and Junior Deacon, of the Aracoma Lodge #99 AF & AM, Beni Kedem Shrine Temple, and Logan Commandery #26 Knights Templar & the York Rite. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Jo Hooker Oliver, and his grandparents, Francis M. & Thelma Oliver and John & Laura Hooker.
Survivors include, his father, Francis M. ‘Junior’ Oliver, wife, Karen Bowen Oliver, children, Aaron (Angelina Ojeda) Oliver of Williamson, WV and Rhonda Rene’e (Brian) Oliver Adkins of Nitro, WV, grandchildren, Faith Makae Oliver and Brianna Olivia Adkins, siblings, Gary Oliver of Lake, WV and Debra Oliver Maynard of Chapmanville, WV, several nieces and nephews, and his loving companions, his Boxer; Maggie and Yorkie; Chelsea.
Services will be 2:30 PM Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Rev. Fred Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV with masonic graveside services to be conducted.
Members of the Aracoma Lodge #99 AF & AM will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville.
In Lieu of Flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Children Hospital, International Headquarters 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
