PISTEY Paul Pistey, age 83, of Bridgeport, beloved husband for more than 58 years of Bertha Corris Pistey, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Bridgeport Manor. Born in Pennsylvania to the late John and Mary Knapik Pistey, he had been a Bridgeport resident for more than 80 years. Mr. Pistey was a World War II Army veteran and was retired from Remington Arms. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three loving daughters, Mary Jane Lawrence and her husband, Thomas, of Bridgeport, Barbara Perry of California and Lynda Berthold of Shelton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Interment with military honors will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Paul's memory be made to a charity of one's choice..
