Mrs. Rhonda Smith Morris, age 62, of Sandersville died Saturday, October 15, 2016. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.
Mrs. Morris was born in Baldwin County, the daughter of the late Alex Gilmore Smith and the late Otella Tanner Smith. She was retired as the Road Inventory Manager for the Georgia Department of Transportation Tennille office and previously worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Heritage Inn Nursing Home. She was a member of the Tabernacle UMC and loved fishing and hunting. Most of all, Rhonda enjoyed being with family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include: her husband, Robert H. Morris Sr. of Sandersville; children, Robbie Morris Jr., and his wife LeAnna of Sandersville, Kevin Morris and his wife Ann of Tennille, Chris Morris of Sandersville and Jessica Thompson of Aiken SC; grandchildren, Zach Morris, Morgan Morris, Quinton Morris, Mason Morris and Abigail Thompson; brothers, Tony Smith and his wife Marsha of Sandersville, David Smith of Guyton and Alex Smith, Jr. and his wife Terrie of Sandersville; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
