Hetzler
Henry Frederick Hetzler was born in Munden Waldeck, Germany on April 8, 1870, the son of William and Marie Hetzler, and passed away in Christs hospital in Topeka, Kansas, on April 29, 1947, at the age of 77 years, and 21 days. In his infancy her was baptized in the name of the Triune God. He renewed his baptismal vow when he was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith on June 2, 1884.
At an early age he came to America. He was united in marriage with Emma Brunkow on March 5, 1896. To this union four sons and four daughters were born. When St. Lukes Lutheran church was organized in 1897 he was one of the charter members and thru the years has remained faithful to his Savior.
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife Emma, of Onaga; three sons, Edwin and Walter of Frankfort, Kansas, and Raymond of Belvue, Kansas; four daughters, Ella Matzke of Wheaton, Bertha Barbour and Erna Malloy, of Belvue, and Laura Abitz of Onaga; three son-in-law and one daughter-in-law; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Fred, of Wheaton; three sisters, Minnie Figge and Marie Knipp, of Onaga and Lena Deering of Loveland, Colo.; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Harland, on April 22, 1919.
Funeral services were held at the St. Pauls Lutheran church in Duluth on Thursday afternoon, and burial in the Duluth cemetery.
