Thomas Ballard Gray, age 77 of Boone Height, was born on January 29, 1931, a son of the late Henderson and Lillie Mills Gray. Mr. Gray died Saturday, January 10, 2009 in the Pineville Community Hospital.

He was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church at Boone Height and was a Retired Saw Mill Worker for the E.K. Wood Company. On August 24, 1951, he united in marriage with Juanita Roark and to this union three children were born.

Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his brothers; Martin, Otis, Ralph Edward, and a Infant brother, Henry Gray.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Juanita Gray of Boone Height; his sons; David Lee Gray and wife Peggy of Goldens Creek, and Dennis Ray Gray and wife Louise of Walker Park Road; his daughter, Della and husband Rev. Jimmy Lee of Boone Height; His brothers; Leonard Gray and wife Carol of Boone Height; his sister, Ethel Marie McDonald and husband Jess of Boone Height. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren; Chris and Dennis, Travis and wife Rhonda, Jerrita and husband Mike and a special granddaughter, Rhonda and two great granddaughters, Makayla and Hanna.

Funeral services for Thomas Ballard Gray will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday January 13, 2009 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Jimmy Lee and Dr. Bobby Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with Christopher Gray, Dennis Lee Gray, Travis Gray, Gary Hamilton, Marty Smith, Mark Gray, Michael McDonald, Don Gray and Roger McDonald Jr. serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Gray’s church family at the Light House Tabernacle Church at Boone Height. The Gray family would like to extend a special thank you, to Dr. Talmadge Hayes and the nurses & staff at the Pineville Community Hospital. The Gray family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral home, Monday, January 12, 2009 after 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday after 10:00 am until the hour of service at 12:00 pm.
