Born in Trenton, Dick was a lifelong area resident. He was an assembly worker for General Motors Corporation in Ewing, where he retired after 18 years of service, and then was employed for the Ewing Board of Education for 11 years. Dick was a graduate of Trenton High School Class of 1956, and a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea.
What he enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family at their shore home in Wildwood, NJ.
Son of the late Richard M. and Marion Green Hutchinson Sr., and pre-deceased by two siblings; he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Catherine Fugate Hutchinson of Ewing and Wildwood, NJ; his three daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Stephen Adzima of Lawrenceville, Catherine and David Ferdetta of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Jennifer and Arthur Piotrowski of Florence; his son and daughter-in-law, Richard M. and Lisa Hutchinson, III of Oak Ridge, NJ; his 10 grandchildren Ashley, R.J., Katie, Matthew, David Jr., Jessica, Joey, Artie, Andrew, and Adam; his eight siblings; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., in Ewing. Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Services will begin on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA. Due to cemetery restictions, flowers are limited.
