David married Gloria Anne Wilder in 1964 and she died in 2011.
He had resided in Charlestown most of his life. He had worked for the school district for 12 years as a custodian/security personnel, and previously for Pinkerton Security Company Inc., Keil Lock and also farming at Peach Blow Farm for many years.
He served in the US Navy.
He was a member of the Southern Vermont Old Time Fiddlers, American Legion Drum Core Post 37, the Charlestown Senior Citizen Club, Grafton Band, and one of the founding members of the Charlestown NH AA meetings.
David’s life was his family and his music.
The family includes four daughters, Marie Fisher of Bellows Falls, VT, Celeste and Dennis Reis of Titusville, FL, Rowena Cushman of Claremont, NH, and April Martin of Fairview, TN; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, ex-wife, Ruby Cushman, also many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy Cushman, two brothers, Richard and Benjamin Cushman and a sister, Gloria G. Cushman.
A graveside service will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery in Charlestown, NH.
