Julian graduated from Augusta Military Academy and enlisted in the U.S. Army, which he departed as a Private First Class with an honorable discharge in 1963. A member of S.A.G./A.F.T.R.A, Julian made his career as an actor and stuntman, performing in multiple television commercials & programs. He performed in commercial & industrial films, and was seen in a variety of print advertisements that covered the range of sportsman, construction worker, debonair gentleman, and the dad next door. An avid tennis player and golfer, he immersed himself in amateur Jai-alai, becoming a tournament champ of Dania Jai-alai in 1972, and playing professionally for three years.
