Claris M. (Maverick) Clements, 58, died Friday at his home after a short illness.
Mr. Clements was born in St. Louis, Mo., and had lived in Henry County most of his life. He retired in 1992 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson after 40 years. He was a member of United Auto Workers and New Castle Elks and Eagles lodges.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Neal Clements; two sons, Clairis Jr. and Mark; three sisters, Sue Cutright, Betty Priest and Jo Thurman; and a brother, Carl (Bud).
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Clements; a son, Terry; and a brother, Gene.
