Born in Anson County on March 16, 1919, Louise was the daughter of the late Orpha R. (Etta) Williams Morgan and the late Andrew Jackson (A.J.) Morgan.
Louise was a registered nurse. She began her career in 1940 at Rowan Memorial Hospital and then taught at the nursing school and was the supervisor of the 3rd floor Obstetrics. Advancing in her career, she was named the first Director of Nurses at Davie County Hospital in Mocksville. From there, she ended her career at the VA Hospital in Salisbury.
She was a longtime devoted member (50+ years) of North Main Baptist Church. In addition, she was a longtime
member of the Pilot Club in Salisbury.
In addition to her parents, Etta and A.J., she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Morgan Shaeffer and Ruth Morgan; brothers, Sam Morgan, Pickett Morgan, Charles Morgan and Jack Morgan; and husbands, Stanley Gilpin, Tom Jackson and the Rev. Pete Richardson.
Services took place at North Main Street Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Robertson officiating.
Graveside services were conducted at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 15958 White Store Road, Marshville, NC 28103.
Lyerly Funeral Home served the Richardson family.
