Yvonne Sebastia Horton, age 67, of The Villages, FL formally of Westminster, MD passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home. She was born in Baltimore, MD on January 16, 1949. She was married to Donald Horton in 1969, a Baltimore City Firefighter, until his passing in 1990. Yvonne was the successful business owner of Yvonne’s Beauty Salon in Eldersburg, MD before retiring. She was fluent in Greek and proud of her Greek heritage. She also enjoyed shopping, mahjong, traveling, and spending time wither her dog “Buddy”.

She is survived by her son Nick Horton and his wife Jaci of South Riding, VA; sister Litsa Deck and her husband John of Palm Harbor, FL; granddaughter Olivia Horton of South Riding, VA; and many extended family members and friends in the US as well as in Chios, Greece.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, mother Pope Galatoula, father John Takas and brother Jimmy Takas.

She will be returned to Finksburg, MD to spend eternity with her husband at Evergreen Memorial Garden. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to any local humane society or wildlife preserve.
