Raymond L. Wise, 90, of South Charleston, joined the Lord's army on Oct. 13, 2016. He was a graduate of South Charleston High School and an Army veteran of WWII. He retired from FMC Corp. and enjoyed many happy days at his camp on Birch River with wife, Vermalie and other family members. He was a former member of the Church of God, Charleston. He was always helping others until his declining health in recent years and was lovingly cared for by his dedicated niece, Dawn Farley Wilson; and her daughter, Amanda and brother Jamie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Emma Wise; his wife of over 50 years, Vermalie "Bummy" Farley Wise; brothers, T. Clinton, Herman, Claude and Bob Wise. Surviving, niece, Dawn Wilson and her daughters, Melissa Dawn and Amanda and her children, Andrew, Taylor and Tristan; nephew, Jamie Farley; great-nephews, Mark Webb and his son, Gage, and Ryan Farley and his children, Kaylee, Zane and Ryder.
